사람은 무의식적으로든 의식적으로든 기억하는 존재이다. 사람들의 머릿속에는 많은 기억들이 들어있다. 그러나 사람들은 시간이 지나면 점점 더 깊은 곳에 기억을 넣어두게 되고 마치 자신들이 기억할 수 없는 것 처럼 느낀다. 그러한 인식을 깨게 해주고 싶었다. 종이컵 안에 있는 사진들은 나 자신의 기억들을 끄집어 내는 역할을 한다. 사진의 내용은 다이어리의 한 문구가 될 수도 있고, 내 어릴적 사진이 될 수도 있으며, 특정 물건을 찍은 사진이 될 수도 있다. 이 작품은 정말로 개인적인 작품이라고 보여질 수도 있지만 반대로 작품을 바라보는 관람객들 개개인의 기억들을 다시한번 회상할 수 있는 기회가 될 수도 있다고 생각한다.

    People remember everything whether on purpose or not. There are lots of memories in our heads. However, people keep their memories into deeper space as the time flies and they think they can’t remember their past. I want to make them change their cognition. The photos in the paper cups takes out people’s memories. The contents of the photos can be a text from my diary, special stuffs, or photos that I took when I was young. You can think this artwork is really personal, but conversely, you can have a time to remind your personal memories.
